Learning languages

I think we all have had many experience in learning languages. Perhaps, most of us invented some useful ways how to improve these skills, make all information easier to learn.
Personally, I have a few ways, how to learn new definitions and information effectively. Some years ago, in my last school, I had Russian language. We had to learn many poems by heart and it was quite hard task. So, during a week I tried to repeat them wherever I went, going by bus, taking a shower or while waiting someone. Although, we have no poems to learn now, but I still use this way to learn new definitions. I can also call this way some kind of information processing that helps you to remember and to not waste your time.
Moreover, watching TV shows, movies or listening to foreign music is another useful way to learn languages. Moreover, when a talk is lead with subtitles, gives you an opportunity to check your knowledge and to learn new words. Though these activities do not improve your speaking skills but allow understanding language better.
However, all these ways can help you to learn, but speaking is much more beneficial. Speaking activities in class give you self confidence in using languages, improve the ways you make sentences. Of course, speaking with people from foreign countries would be better way of learning, unfortunately, not all of us could have this experience.
Finally, I think that is no better way to learn languages than your motivation to do this!
